Kyle Anderson has had quite the high school basketball career up…and it is not even over yet. He has amazed almost 80 wins against one defeat during his tenure at St. Anthony and Paterson Catholic, won a tournament of Champions title and a national championship. Currently, his Friar team is undefeated and ranked number 1 in a few national polls and in the top 5 in all of them. Yesterday, he was honored with being named to the McDonald’s All-American team.
They will play in the McDonald’s All-American Games on March 28 at the United Center in Chicago. The girls’ game will begin at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPNU and the boys game will follow at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The UCLA-bound Anderson, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound swingman, has led St. Anthony to a 17-0 record and No. 1 ranking in The Star-Ledger Top 20. He is currently averaging 15 points per game.
Anderson, who was also selected to participate in April’s Jordan Brand Classic in Charlotte, is currently ranked fourth nationally in the ESPNU 100 and is the state’s top player.
